  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
  • Drop rounded tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For an extra touch of flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the dough.
  • If you prefer a crunchier texture, bake for a minute or two longer.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh for up to a week.
