Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk (adjust as needed for consistency)
- Optional: 2 tbsp lemon zest or fruit puree (for added flavor)
- Dippables: Fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, pineapple), cake cubes, marshmallows, cookies, pretzels
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the cream cheese, heavy cream, and milk. Stir continuously to ensure the cream cheese is fully softened and mixed into the cream.
- Once smooth, add the sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the mixture is fully incorporated and smooth.
- Continue heating the mixture, stirring occasionally to prevent clumping, until it reaches a smooth and velvety texture. If desired, add lemon zest or fruit puree for additional flavor.
- Once the mixture is smooth and well-blended, transfer it to a fondue pot to keep warm.
- Serve with an assortment of dippables like fresh fruit, cake cubes, cookies, and marshmallows.
- Enjoy immediately while the fondue is warm and creamy!
Notes
- Make sure to soften the cream cheese before mixing to avoid lumps.
- You can adjust the texture by adding more milk if the fondue is too thick.
- For a chocolate cheesecake fondue, melt some dark chocolate and mix it into the cream cheese base.
- If you’re making this ahead of time, store the fondue in an airtight container and reheat gently before serving.
